Mercedes Coyle 
Production Designer
Mercedes Coyle is a Hungarian-Canadian production designer recognized for her highly stylized work in feature films and television.
Her most notable project is The Undertone (dir. Ian Tuason, 2025), which won “Best Canadian Feature” at the 29th Fantasia Film Festival and was subsequently acquired by A24. The film is slated for a wide theatrical release in 2026.
Other prominent credits include Don’t Even (Season 1, CRAVE, 2024), Suze (2023) starring Michaela Watkins, and The Family (2022), which premiered at the Busan International Film Festival. She has also designed multiple digital series for CBC Gem, including Bit Playas, which received a 2021 Canadian Screen Award for Best Web Series.
An active member of the Directors Guild of Canada, Mercedes recently gave a talk titled Far From Home: Remote Design Challenges, outlining her experiences designing Polaris (2023), shot in the remote Yukon Territory.
She is eligible to work in both Canada and the European Union.
